We’re thrilled to announce that Dan Anderson is the latest addition to Team Piranha Powersports, and we couldn’t be more excited to have him join our ranks! Dan brings not only his passion for off-road racing but also a unique story of how he got involved in the sport and has quickly made a name for himself.
From Diesel Mechanic to Racing Enthusiast
By night, Dan is a diesel mechanic—a profession that speaks to his deep technical knowledge and hands-on skills with engines and machines. However, his heart belongs to the racing track. His journey into off-road racing started just a couple of years ago at a Missouri Mudders event. At the time, Dan and his crew were riding in a Ranger, but after seeing the action up close, he decided it was time for an upgrade. They traded in the Ranger for an RZR, and that decision sparked what has become a serious racing journey.
Since then, Dan has participated in a variety of racing disciplines, including hill climbs and knockout races, and he has even ventured into short course events at local county fairs. He’s constantly pushing the limits and challenging himself, recently stepping into ATV racing after borrowing a friend’s bike. His competitive spirit didn’t let him stop there—he quickly purchased his own ATV for his most recent event.
A Growing Passion for Racing
Dan’s RZR has been through its fair share of adventures, including blowing the engine. But like any true racer, he didn’t let that setback stop him. He had the engine rebuilt by none other than Sean Lean, who not only restored it but also upgraded the ports and internals to give Dan’s RZR a performance edge. Now, Dan has his sights set on upgrading to a two-seater RZR, and we can’t wait to see how he continues to evolve as a racer with Piranha Powersports backing him.

Dan’s journey with Team Piranha Powersports is just beginning, and we’re eager to see what he accomplishes in the upcoming season.
